Morgan Stanley chart a great compare prices for grain to an index of severe weather activity.

The same report, only one week watching Chinese food prices tells a similar story. Recently saw its moderate price gains a set which saw weather back to normal.
* Thanks to alleviate drought in North China, grain prices, only up to 0 22ppts-edged stabilized in the first ten days of February.
Chinese new year and cold weather continues to boost the meat prices, especially pork prices fuel.
* Vegetable prices on the back of the new year effect to jump and afterwards from supply disruptions by icy rain in southern China.
